Client: Law Firm

Objective: Homepage Redesign

Goal: Create a fresh concept with corresponding imagery to create a digital story that promotes a feeling of whole body balance and well-being.

Inspiration: The calm you feel when you go to a spa. A feeling of being supported and nurtured.

Take-a-way: To feel as if the firm is standing by your side, an advocate for you and your overall health and well-being in your time of need. To take the fear out of contacting a law firm.

Ways to accomplish our goals: By using soothing colors and inviting images that support the overall feeling of wellbeing and through digital storytelling to visually support the user as they interact with the software.

Logo Design

Logo Design isn’t always what you think it is. A logo doesn’t always equal a symbol with some significance to the company. A more modern take on a logo is often a fresh take on typography and the name or initials of the company or individual.

The client may find it easier to pick a logo if you allow them to see the logo interacting with a design in an organic way.

This particular client wanted a black and white site to have their logo pop. They wanted it to feel fresh and unique, to appeal to a younger crowd but not rule out an older clientele. They also wanted a cool and unique local vibe. Through image sourcing I was able to provide all of those things, with a different twist than the client had initial brought to me (remember the black and white). Through visuals (I am a firm believer in showing versus telling) I was able to bring a new vision to life for the client and we were able to move forward with the best concept for their project. This is the version we went with. The full site is currently in the development state.

It’s important to know that the client has hired a designer to help guide them to their end vision and sometimes it may take a couple of tries. I always run a few rough options by a client in the initial concept stage in order to align visions and get them to where they want to be, it’s all part of the creative process and finding the vision.
